  • Hey Frost... I heard about the fight you and Klem had a few days back... I hope, you didn't quit Wikia for good because of that now.

You know? ...I don't think you should do something that drastic... Just because Klem said something that you didn't like doesn't mean he'd keep referring to it... He told me that the second time he talked to you, it wasn't about what happened previously... It was something else. Just check your Nitrome wiki messages if you haven't done so already. He explained it there.

Oh, and Frost? ...You can't quit right now. Just because of a fight. Infact, to be true to you, I find it ... silly. Really silly. Just to quit like that because of a small fight... and forget about everyone and everything else that you're leaving behind. And just look what happened! ...You completely forgot to even inform your best friend that you were leaving Wikia... I hope, you were just too angry or frustrated during that time and that now, you'll understand what really happened... I just hope you haven't quit Wikia for good... or something else, in that matter...

I just hope you'll be back, Frost. You've left without finishing something... Something that's probably important not only to me, but to you too... Making a game. Just think of it... If we suceeded, this may have been our first game... The first one we made. And after that, don't you want to make a fan game in favor of Nitrome? ...We could've worked on that one too... And all the other things you wished to do... Don't you want to complete them? ...If you didn't quit Wikia yet, well... Just get back already. You don't need to go back to Nitrome if you don't want... You don't even need to talk to Klem. Infact, if you're still angry with him, go ahead and kick him, ban him, perma-ban him infact... Just get over what happened. That's all...

    • Hey hey! Some news frosty came in chat and said this: Hey guys I came here to actually tell you that I am really leaving. I'm just moving on to another life away from Wikia. Not sure if I'll come back, and I have no current plans on coming back. Just a disclaimer that I am not keeping a grudge, and no, my reason to leave was only that I have merely worn out and can see that my presence in Nitrome Wiki is no longer propagating anything good. I will still be active on things that are Nitrome. This is a pre-written message I will not communicate to anyone in real-time. Goodye. that's all he said.... i don't know if he's mad at me.

        Loading editor
    • ...He clearly said he doesn't hold a grudge on anything anymore. Which means, he's no longer angry at you apparently... But, I guess, we won't be seeing him in a hurry...

Well, we can still work on CCD without him. I'll just have to take up his role from now on... and possibly, be the main programmer in it... You can still help though, Klem.

However... I do wish he could've just gave us those new sprites he's made. It would have been kinda helpful for us since we got to start work on the Alpha soon... But, anyways, since he didn't do so, we gotta make up something ourselves. ASAP...

  • Hey Frost.

I just wanted to inform to you that Blade thinks some of your art, the ones which decided to use in-game is ... not good enough. According to her opinion, she says:

"The head looks *far* too big for the body,
in side view, the legs are too small,
and it looks like a longhaired fugly cat...

...How can that cat stand up...? >->'
    It's legs are so...
    Small..."

That's pretty much all she said... She feels the cat's head is too big and it's legs too small... and it seems 'fugly' to her...

So... What should we do now? Should we revise the sprites or should either of us make a newer concept for the better sprites?

...Also, her suggestion is that we move back to using the older concepts... The first ones which I made. Maybe, we could work on the sprites based on my concept... That would probably work.

  • Hey there, Frost.

Yeah, it's been awhile since we've talked... I did say I'd return on 10th but, I was kinda held up with a few things so, I couldn't really announce my return.

However, despite the delay, I was able to work on something on this wiki, namely, the creation of a new page; A Blueprint/Info-Log/Layout for ChatChat Deux. Somehow, though, I feel like CCD is dead... at heart.

I really want to continue this till it's made into a working game at the least but, with all the things I had to do instead of working on this project made me think if I should just cast off this burden and move on with other ideas... But, that would make me no different than Terry who did the same thing. There's still a lot of setbacks we haven't yet resolved... mostly in the programming part. We STILL don't know who's going to program the game in the long run. I'm ready to start learning some programming myself... but, I can't be the only sole programmer here. Of course you agreed you'd help out... but, will we be able to manage the refinement of the game together once it's complete?

We haven't even reached a proper phase in development yet... and there's been no art supplied for the past few weeks. I've only so far managed to create some concept tile and background art which is not much to speak of. I feel that CCD is coming to a standstill right now.

Well, when you get this message, I hope you'd be able to think of something to do now about CCD. The sooner you can look into this, the sooner we could find a solution to revive this dying concept of a game.

Oh, and since today's Easter, Happy Easter, ol' pal! Be Seeing you.

    • Yep, I read it all. But I have something upcoming im my life taht I don't really know in what way it would affect my development of the game with you. Maybe in private chat yeah? And also I'll start testing that online multiplayer plugin I'm about to download for my game maker.

        Loading editor
    • Oh I just found out that it's going to be added into my game engine as a real feature as said by the developers.

      https://www.scirra.com/blog/137/multiplayer-is-coming

It isn't out yet, but I don't know If I should wait for the update or use the plugin already, since both features in the future might cinflict reach other causing me unable to use it again. S owhat do you think?

        Loading editor
    • Hmm... Interesting to know you've already started using a Game engine. But, what I want to know is, will it work with the Flash coding? ActionScript 3? We've planned to use that coding to make the game accessible. If not, we must atleast make the game able to work on Flash cause, most people won't be interested to download some other game engine to make their game work for them. Well, these problems are to be seen during the programming phase... Right now, we still haven't stepped out of the development phase. We don't have the neccessary art and other materials set up properly yet.

I am going to be creating a checklist of sorts to keep track of these stuff sometime soon. Hopefully, we'll have everything done before my school year starts again. After that, we'll take our time in creating the Alpha and Beta from June to anywhere before the New Year... And we'll most likely release the Complete Beta by January... That is, essentially, the full game.

And, alright, I understand there's probably something you gotta handle in your own life now in the near future. I'll talk to you about it when I get the chance. However, if you can manage your time, you can work atleast on the art for now. We'll look into the Programming once we're done with all the artwork and other stuff. If you're too busy to help in the programming then, maybe, I'll try to manage with it by myself.

  • This is to inform you that I am leaving for this Month... as I had planned before. I won't be returning until April 10th or later... but, I may be back before May. If not, after that...

The reason for my delay during my summer vacation is because I may be busy with some things during that time...

I hope, you can take care of things while I'm away. I guess, we'd be working on CCD if we find any time during my Summer vacation... if not, I hope that you and Klem can be able to set up a working Alpha which we'll modify when I return later on...

See you after awhile, I guess. EYB!

  • ...The Art.

Hey Frost, just to remind you incase you forgot, how's the art been going along? I gave you a few topics to work on... Hope you found the time to do them. If not, please atleast do the mouse sprites for now. We must have 75% of the art done before we can lift the programming development hiatus... Yes, that will be on hold until April, i.e, till my Final exams are complete.

Also, just to inform you, I may or may not be here during the whole of March... Hopefully, art development will still keep going on despite me not being present. Whenever you feel like, you may upload your art... I'll check on it when I'm back in April. Right now, I'd be here so... use my help as much as you can while I'm still here.

Good luck with the project, Frost. I believe you'd do it well.

    • ... Seems like you were either too busy to reply or something...

Anyways, I haven't heard much from you about the art... How has it been going? I hope, you're doing something about them... It seems like you've stopped... Hopefully, you haven't.....

...Well... Atleast, I hope you were able to see this message and that wikia glitch didn't block it out...

Eyb, Frost... I guess, we'll be meeting soon.

    • Well, Frost... I guess, you were just too busy and probably still working on things but, I don't know...

Anywho, Klem seems to want to help out and I guess, you and him have a project to do, if you are interested. Get a working skeleton program of the game ready by the time I return for good. We're planning on making an Alpha first and slowly updating it into a Beta which will be slowly updated again into the Full game... Each update will be done as micro-updates per week throughout this year starting from the day we release the Alpha first version. One update would be four micro updates which equals to one month. By next year, we should be done with the Game.

Also, I've decided to stop using the computer now itself since it's getting rather tedious for me check up on progress now and then and just seeing no reply from you guys... It always seems to have been in vain this entire week... So, I'm probably gonna spend my time prepping up for the Finals instead, starting right now instead of March.

Goodbye, Frost. Hope, you'll reply about the progress soon... We have this entire year and all that's left of it so, do whatever you can at your own pace.

    • Yeah, I was a bit busy that time, you know, about my current health condition. But hey since i'm still away from my home computer, it'll take me for me to get back to work. About that skelaton progam, i did find an Player IO, the program used to enable ChatChat's online multiplayer and in Everybody Edits too. I still don't kniw much abuoyt it, but if we can't use it, then we'll have to use the second choice on my list.

        Loading editor
    • Well... Take the time you need. We are only going to make a short Alpha that could help us gain better programmers who can assist us. Most of them want to see some working progress on the game.

And the skeleton program is nothing more than a revamped version of the original ChatChat .swf files which has to be coded from scratch. Just use only the lines of code for walking, area sizes and some other stuff, mostly basic. We can do without mice and commands for now. No, title screen or hub either. Just the plain game with cats and dogs.

Well... Hope to hear from you soon again. Also, take care of your health.

  • Hey Frost, I remember you told me that you'd be gone for awhile and won't be back until 28th October... Since, it's well past that date, I was just wondering if you are back now.

If you have indeed returned, I just wanted to inform you about ChatChat Deux, the game I was working on. I'm still building up & pushing the concept of the game as far as I can and maybe, after I self-teach myself some programming, I'd take up the sole responsibility of making the game if nobody decides to help me...

But, It's probably gonna be hard for a single person to do the art, code the game and create the files all by himself so... if you and some others are still interested in helping me out, I'll gladly accept. Since I know that you can draw well, I was thinking of you being the art developer which encases even the background art and tile art. I"ll decide what the others could do if they want to help me out.

BTW, The game code/engine I'm going to be using is either going to be HTML5 or Unity. Not sure if I'm going to really use HTML5 but, definitely, I'd use Unity. I think, you have some experience in Unity programming, don't you?

Anyways, I'm currently kinda busy with a lot of in-real-life issues so... I won't be truly making the game until Mid-2014 or Late-2014. So... It's a long ways off but, I'll definitely finish the game by New Year 2015 or if I'm able to speed through everything (and started around Mid-2014), It would be Late 2014.

I hope, we'll be able to talk again soon... EYB, Frost! See ya soon.

    • Thanks for helping out, Flame... I kinda guessed you were the reason behind this at first.

As for you, Frost, I hope you're ready to return to your old position as Art Director... You are now incharge of managing a current project. Check up on the ChatChat Deux page to find out more.

I hope, you'll be able to do atleast 70% of this project by the time I return. You can take the help from all those who are willing within the team... or, if you prefer, someone out of the team.

As of now, I'll stop discussing about the game and anything related about it's development until my Summer vacation starts.

  • ...This wiki.

Hey Frost, I was planning if you'll let me change the wiki name and stuff and make me an admin... I'm planning to use this wiki as a development center for ChatChat Deux... Is that acceptable?

Cave Chaos 3D looks like it's abandoned or something... And we can move that into another wiki...

And I've already started posting pictures and stuff based on CCD here now itself... Can we just atleast, hide the Cave Chaos pages for a few months until ChatChat Deux is complete? (Some people are kinda confusing Cave Chaos with ChatChat, that's why...)

Or you can help me make a wiki when your back... but, that just seems like a lot of work transfering stuff from here to there... But, whatever it is, I hope we'll atleast have a seperate wiki soon...
